Being a thorough entertainer, Alphons has the charismatic ability to keep the audiences enthralled to his mesmerizing songs. He is a very active member of the Rexband, a gospel music band known for their contemporary gospel music and their blending of Western music with Hindustani and Carnatic. He is the lead guitarist, vocalist and one among the founders of the Rexband. His relationship with music has always blossomed with this band with whom he has done and is doing a lot of compositions, renditions, performances and experiments with music. Having listeners all over the world, the band was the only band from the Indian subcontinent to be invited to the World Youth Day celebrations in 2002 at Canada, 2005 at Cologne and in 2008 at Sydney.

He was a key member of AR Rahman's World Tour 2010, Jai Ho Concert - The Journey Home, which performed for worldwide audiences throughout the North American continent and Europe.  In the tour, being a solo artist he played the vocal harmony synth with the band.

He is also a key member of coming show, AR Rahman's live concert in Dubai on November 15 at the Coca-Cola Arena.
